Catherine Porter, Orthodontist, New Zealand


	Catherine Porter 1 2 3 4 Catherine studied at Otago University, New Zealand’s only dental school, for five years, gaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1986. Whilst studying at Otago she had orthodontic treatment, cementing her interest in orthodontics. On graduation she practiced dentistry in New Zealand and London. After having two children she continued practicing part-time in New Plymouth and Auckland. When her youngest child was three she decided to specialise in Orthodontics and returned to Otago University obtaining a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Orthodontics in 2003, after three years of study. She has been practising as a specialist orthodontist since April 2004. She is a member of NZAO, NZDA, ADA. Catherine is also the honorary secretary of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists (NZAO). Catherine is married with two teenage children. Ginny is Catherine's Orthodontic auxiliary. She is a qualified Dental Assistant and has worked in the UK. She is a recently qualified Orthodontic Auxiliary and assists Catherine with patient care.

Sandra is our friendly practice manager. She is married with four children. As a parent she has experienced orthodontic treatment giving her the empathy required to assist parents during their children’s treatment.
